Team analysis: Saddle River Day made history last year, winning the first Non-Public B title in school history. With that being said, the fun is really just beginning for SDR.
The team is returning two all state players in Jaida Patrick and Michelle Sidor. Patrick was sensational in her first year transferring in from Long Island Lutheran. The Duke commit is one of the best two-way players in the state. Sidor broke the 2,000 point mark last year and made first team all-state for the first time in her career. The Michigan commit is a walking bucket. Sidor has limitless range and is amazing in pick and roll situations. LIU Brooklyn commit Jenna Jordan has been a dominant force in the paint for SDR. Jordan is saavy down low and can knock down shots away from the rim when needed. Jayden Lafontant caught bad luck the past couple years via injury, but is healthy and is in for a big year. Looking to join the fun is senior transfer Sydnei Caldwell. The Arizona State commit is a lockdown defender and strong threat scoring at the wing spot.
This team has the talent to win county this year and challenge for a T.O.C. title. If this team defends and rebounds at a high level, it will be hard to matchup with them offensively.
Stat to know: SDR won it’s first Non-Public B Title against Rutgers Prep last year.
