This year we beat Stuart Day for the county Championship. My first year of high school, I went to a different school and we didn’t have a county event like this. When I came to TCA, it was a different experience. In my first year we beat Pennington. This year, we had a different challenge. We knew it would be tough and we had to go through one of my former teammates. All in all, winning back to back meant a lot to me.

The Floor General: A Sitdown with Abby Antognoli
“I don't want to be a point guard, or a two-guard, I want people to think of me as "creative", I just want to create on the court.” - “The Answer," b.k.a. “Bubba Chuck.”
The point guard, or the floor general, is essential to a team's success. A great point guard controls the pace of the game and the emotional swings of his team. Great point guards have mastered the art of communication. In a limited period of time, they can relay a message with very few words. They read emotions and react. They utilize dead ball situations and timeouts to seek tutelage and make adjustments. As they go, so shall the team.
Below is an article within our feature series titled, "The Floor General." During the series we will link with countless point guards to pick their brains and see what makes today's point guard tick. Next up is St. Rose guard Abby Antognoli. --By Christian Mordi @thedribbledrop on Instagram and Twitter.

“Hungry. I come into every game hungry for the win. Hungry for every loose ball. Hungry to get every put back. Hungry is a great word to describe my approach every time I step on the floor.”
Alexas’ motor is unreal. The relentless aggression and passion to win is on display every time she is on the floor. Alexa is a strong rebounder and versatile offensive player. She has a wide array of moves down low and can consistently hit the mid range shot. Her effort level makes her a matchup nightmare against many teams.

When I was young, I went to the Saint John Vianney Camps and met coach Karpell. I thought she was a great coach and someone I would like to play for. The SJV program is unreal. I knew it was something I would want to be a part of.

I started playing Basketball in the 5th grade. My friend's dad was the coach and he convinced me to play. I was very new to the game, I didn’t know the rules, double dribbles or anything like that to be honest. I liked the game a lot and stuck with it. I started training in 7th grade and got a lot better and started playing AAU. I loved competing. I loved to win. I loved how basketball helped you with decision making.

“I'm a playmaker, and I'm going to score. At the end of the day, my job is to put the ball in the basket.” -The Flash, a.k.a. Dwyane Wade
“I Get Buckets,” is a term used far too often by today’s youth. Scoring, is an art form. We have all seen players score at a torrid pace for a short period of time. The few players that can get a basket, regardless of the help defense stacked against them, are special. The “40 Ball,” is chased by many, but attained by few.
Today we start a new feature series called “Running The Wings,” which discusses the the fine art of scoring from the wing spot (or shooting guard, small forward) on the floor. Make no mistake about it, the players in this section, get buckets.
Next up is Leap Academy forward Brazil Harvey-Carr. The Rhode Island commit is posting a stellar stat line of 34 points, 18 rebounds and 7 steals and 6 assists per game. - By Christian Mordi / @thedribbledrop on Instagram and Twitter.
