For many, music is a push factor against the demons of anxiety and nervousness before a competition. For others, a pre-game playlist is a "Secret sauce" used to stir up and release whatever is channeled within them in an effort to lead their team to victory.
Today we begin a new series titled "Gameday Playlist Vibes," which feature must-play pre-game songs from rising basketball stars in New Jersey. Next up is Manasquan wing Lola Mullaney. Lola had a strong game this weekend against #10 Rumson-Fair Haven, logging 20 points in the win! On the year, the crafty guard is averaging 15 points per game. Enjoy the jams from the junior wing below.

Thoughts on the bus ride before the game: When I’m on the bus before a game I try to calm myself down and get rid of all the nerves.
One song that I always listen to is “in case you didn’t know” by Brett Young. It’s a country song, one of the few I listen to, but I love It.
Once we get into the Locker room;home or away, our team listens to some songs that always pump us up.
"Gods plan" by Drake is one that really brings me a lot of energy and hypes me up.
Our whole team has probably listened to "Bartier Cardi" by Cardi B and 21 savage over 100 times by now (laughs.) This song is a must before every game, sometimes even multiple times. Cardi B is one of a kind.
Lastly, Wonderwall vs. Tremor (remix)" is in our warm up cd , but I listen to It before every game as well. It has a lot of beats and gets our minds ready for the game.
